Materials and processes

A Lando piece of furniture is 3 times precious

Territoriality, Materiality, Manuality: these concepts enclose the value of each piece of Lando furniture. Three precious contents which together represent the value and define the unique unmistakeable style of the company.

Territoriality: the Veneto, the soul of our furniture
To design a piece of furniture means combining material and form, without ever forgetting where the material comes from and who the form is dedicated to. Lando is situated in Rossano Veneto and has the soul of the Veneto within itself and each piece of furniture that is made. This is shown by the choice of expressing its creativity through the materials that come from the area: Bassano pottery, wrought iron, glass that is unique to Venice, and, of course, wood, traditional material that the Venetian craftsmen dedicate all their passion and inborn skill to.

Materiality: the origins of excellence
Lando chooses only the best quality raw materials, carefully selected to always respect the environment. Like wood, which must be traditional and never come from protected forests, and which must be processed using all the natural thickness as it is the only way to highlight its original depth. Materials that "ask" for man's hand, because they can feel all his love and can open up their souls to him.

Manuality: material trusts man and becomes art
It is man's hand that can be seen, even when the furniture is finished, through the selection and precise joins between the pieces of wood, carefully selected and matched one by one. Through the planing, intaglio and inlaying, waxing, water and earth staining through to the shellac: all artistic moments exclusively done by hand, as the material demands and the eye can fully appreciate. Whether it be wood, leather, pottery or iron, it does not matter where the beginning of the story is to tell of its creation, what matters is the "handmade art", because it is the only real definition of craftsmanship.
